TOWN OF GLENVILLE
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


        PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.

        Application of George Nigriny, 172 Spring Road, Glenville, NY  12302 for an Area Variance that will allow for the construction of a new 24’ x 32’ (768 s/f) detached garage.  Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 22.1-1-48.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-9 (G) (2): the maximum size of a detached accessory structure in the Suburban Residential Zoning District is 576 s/f.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a variance of 192 s/f.

        Application of Arthur Georgelas, 1833 Amsterdam Road, Glenville, NY 12302 for an Area Variance that will allow for the construction of a 563.5 s/f addition to an existing 502.25 s/f detached garage.  Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 29.-4-13.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-9 (G)(2) – The maximum size of an accessory structure in the Suburban Residential Zoning District is 576 s/f.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a variance of 489.75 s/f.

        Application of David Foster, 20 Yolanda Drive, Burnt Hills, NY  12027 for Two Area Variances.  The first variance would allow the placement of an above ground swimming pool in the front yard of Kevin Drive.  The second variance would allow for the placement of a 6’ high stockade privacy fence in the front yard of Kevin Drive.  Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 10.17-2-23.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-54 (A)(2). Swimming pools will not be permitted in front yards.  Therefore the applicant is seeking total relief from the ordinance.  And the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-52 (B)(2). Fences on residential properties will not exceed four feet in height in the front yard.  Therefore the applicant is seeking a 2’ high variance from the ordinance.

        Application of Susan Backer, Trustee, for a Use Variance for property located at 307-309 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302.  The applicant is requesting the Use Variance to allow for the establishment of an automotive repair shop on the site.  Said property is located in the Town Center Overlay District.  It is identified on tax map 22.7-2-10.21.
        In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville 270-133 (D)((4)- Automotive repair shops, automobile dealerships and car washes are outright prohibited within the Town Center Overlay District.
